Med Culture

As Med Culture we deal with the design of experiential learning and non-formal education programs.

Recognising the significant role of education for the creation of the right patterns of behaviour and in the final formation of the future active citizens, we are already collaborating with educational institutions having developed a complete proposal farm2school.

We attempt to encourage children, but also teachers and parents, to consolidate concepts associated to Nutrition, Health, Environment and Agricultural activity through the design and installation of school gardens, experiential workshops and visits to urban and suburban farms and development of experiential educational activities.

We have also created the Open Farm network (openfarm.gr), which records and highlights the "open", visitable farms and agricultural processing units, which are located next to us or are scattered in various parts of Greece. Units that in addition to the production of excellent, quality, agricultural products, also offer services of education, experiential experience, tasting, hospitality, but also leisure activities.

ecoktima

Ecoktima is the first ecological estate that combines the natural with digital experience. It was founded in 2012 as a result of a research program of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and has developed to innovative actions of educational learning programs for schools and organisations in Greece and abroad.

The programs are developed by special educators specially trained in interdisciplinary educational planning and are adapted to the necessities of each school or organisation. It is the first action provider in Greece in the design of hybrid learning programs with integrated design and implementation.

Ecoktima remains a Laboratory of New Technologies in Communication, Education and Media, Culture and Media of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, developing synergies and collaborations.
